Analysis of 3 TV thriller posters
In this poster for Reacher, we see the main character,
Reacher in the foreground holding a gun, with a blurred-out background which
looks like a city alleyway. We can see though the gun in his hand that the show
is a thriller, along with Reacher having cuts and bruises across his face. The
darker colour palette suggests dark tones to the show, and could be used to
target a slightly older audience up to 25, and fans of dark and gritty
thrillers.
The poster for the first season of squid game shows elements
of the thriller genre through the masked characters, which shows secrecy of
their identity. The other three characters seem to be physically exhausted,
with one having a bleeding cut across his face. There are also explosions
placed behind them for the action part of the show. The brighter colour palette
could be used to target a younger target audience
In the poster for the 6th season of dexter we are
shown the main character holding a knife, with blood wings behind him,
depicting him as somewhat a demon. The colour palette is monochrome with
splashes of red in the blood and the title. The blood elements show the
thriller part of the show along with the knife held in a stabbing position
downwards.
